Boyle Statement on Arson at Northeast Philadelphia Islamic Center

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Congressman Brendan F. Boyle (PA-02) released the following statement after police said they are investigating an arson at the Northeast Philadelphia Islamic Center on Tyson Avenue:

“I am deeply disturbed by the apparent arson at the Northeast Philadelphia Islamic Center. Houses of worship must be places of peace and safety, not targets for violence or intimidation. I am grateful that no one was injured, but the fear caused by this attack is very real. I urge anyone with information to come forward immediately. Our Muslim community deserves our full support.”
