The congressman who represents the area where Defense Logistics Agency Troop
Support is located visited the agency Aug. 14.

Rep. Brendan Boyle, representing Pennsylvania's 13th Congressional District,
learned about DLA Troop Support's mission to support the warfighter through
its five diverse supply chains.

"I'm really blown away by all the work that goes on here and just how
important it is. ... I think too often the work that federal government
employees do goes unnoticed and underappreciated by some," Boyle said. "So
it was really important for me to be here to see the work that is done here
and also just to say 'thank you."

Boyle also toured the flag room and spoke with employees who hand-embroider
the presidential and vice presidential flags, as well as make military unit
flags.

His visit took place after speaking at the Federal Managers Association
luncheon at Naval Support Activity Philadelphia.

Boyle was elected to Congress in 2014 and, in addition to parts of Northeast
Philadelphia, represents areas that include nearly half of Montgomery County
and part of North Philadelphia.
