Press Release

Philadelphia, PA – Congressman Brendan F. Boyle (PA-02) released the following statement after President Trump signed the Families Frist Coronavirus Response Act, a bipartisan agreement between House Democrats and the Trump Administration to bolster the federal government’s response to the coronavirus outbreak and address the severe impacts of the coronavirus on Americans’ personal safety and financial security.
“American lives are at risk every day we fail to provide free testing and families are suffering with the consequences of sudden lost wage,” said Congressman Boyle. “That’s why we must act promptly to not only guarantee free testing, but to also provide paid leave, support strong unemployment benefits, and expand food assistance. Americans are depending on their elected officials and we must act urgently in a unified manner to keep Americans safe moving forward.”
