Boyle Statement on Fourth Anniversary of Putin’s Invasion of Ukraine
WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Brendan F. Boyle (PA-02), Lead Democrat for the U.S. Congressional Delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, issued the following statement on the fourth anniversary of Vladimir Putin’s unprovoked invasion of Ukraine:
“It has been four years since Vladimir Putin launched a brutal, unprovoked invasion of Ukraine. He expected Ukraine to fall within days. He was wrong. Ukrainians have fought with extraordinary courage, and with much of the free world behind them, they are still fighting.
Ukraine can still win, but only if NATO remains united and the United States leads with strength and clarity. President Trump is doing the opposite. By threatening allies and floating reckless talk about Greenland while refusing to stand up to Putin, he is weakening NATO at the very moment deterrence matters most.
America must stand with Ukraine. The security of the United States and Europe depends on it.”
