Rep. Boyle calls upon VP Pence to "stay home"

PHILADELPHIA – Congressman Brendan F. Boyle (PA-02), released the following statement regarding Vice President Pence’s plan to visit Pennsylvania later this week:

“Vice President Pence’s decision to visit Pennsylvania in the middle of a worsening pandemic to campaign for President Trump is yet one more affirmation of the White House’s epic failure to lead during this time of crisis. The Trump Administration has repeatedly failed to effectively respond to the coronavirus, and Vice President Pence seems to be just fine gambling with the lives of Pennsylvanians simply to further his boss’s pathetic political agenda.

"In recent weeks, several Trump Administration staffers have even tested positive for coronavirus following campaign visits. It is mind boggling that Vice President Pence, the chair of the White House Coronavirus Task Force, continues to make these campaign visits even as COVID-19 cases keep surging every day. I strongly urge the Vice President to prioritize the health of all Americans by not coming to Pennsylvania and putting our state in danger.”
