Boyle Statement on Trump Campaign Lawsuit to Limit Mail Voting

June 29, 2020
Press Release

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Brendan F. Boyle (PA-02) released the following statement in response to the Trump campaign suing Pennsylvania state and county election officials over the use of mail ballot drop boxes in the June Primary election:

“I am disgusted by the Trump campaign’s attempt to make it harder for Pennsylvanians to safely vote in the upcoming November election,” said Congressman Boyle. “We are still battling a pandemic, and yet, President Trump wants to now force millions of people to choose between their constitutional right to vote and their safety. Voting is the foundation of democracy. The President’s lawsuit will ultimately jeopardize our ability to safely exercise our right to vote.”
