BOYLE STATEMENT ON VOTE AGAINST REPUBLICANS SHAM IMPEACHMENT INQUIRY

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Brendan F. Boyle (PA-02) issued the statement below, following today’s House vote on a baseless impeachment inquiry into President Biden by House Republicans:
"At a moment when Congress should be focused on bringing down the cost of living and supporting working families, House Republicans have yet again opted for a circus sideshow in the form of a sham impeachment procedure against the President of the United States. Despite the fact that their own investigations have repeatedly proven that President Biden has done nothing wrong, House Republicans are pushing this sham process to distract the American people from their total failure to govern. The presidential impeachment process is a solemn constitutional mechanism designed to address extreme abuses of power or egregious misconduct and should never be wielded recklessly or for political revenge."
