Boyle on Trump Signing Big Bill for Billionaires Into Law

July 4, 2025

WASHINGTON, DC Congressman Brendan F. Boyle (PA-02), Ranking Member of the House Budget Committee, released the following statement after Donald Trump signed the Big Bill for Billionaires into law:

“Donald Trump just signed into law one of the most shameful pieces of legislation in our nation’s history.

Seventeen million Americans, including 450,000 Pennsylvanians, will lose their health care. All Americans will see their health care costs increase. Four million will see their food assistance slashed. Entire communities will suffer—all so Trump can hand out massive tax breaks to his billionaire donors.

Republicans in Congress went right along with it. Every promise they made—to protect health care, to fight for working families, to be fiscally responsible—has been broken.

As the top Democrat on the House Budget Committee, I was proud to lead the fight against this cruel and dangerous bill. The American people will not forget who betrayed them.”
