Boyle Urges President to Mandate Federal Telework For COVID-19 Response
PHILADELPHIA – Congressman Brendan F. Boyle (PA-02) sent a letter to President Donald J. Trump urging him to immediately issue an Executive Order directing all eligible federal employees and contractors to telework.
“The federal government has a responsibility to guide the nation during uncertain times, but we must also protect all American workers, including federal employees and contractors, against the spread of the deadly coronavirus,” said Congressman Boyle. “The current voluntary guidance from the Administration has stalled major decisions at the federal level and can directly impact the safety and well-being of more than 2.1 million federal employees and their families. The President must give a clear order to maximize telework to protect federal employees, contractors, family members, and our communities.”
The letter was signed by 58 Members of Congress, including Congressman Boyle. The full letter can be viewed here .
