BOYLE VOTES FOR HOUSE RESOLUTION SUPPORTING FINLAND & SWEDEN JOINING NATO ALLIANCE

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Brendan F. Boyle (PA-02) released the following statement this evening following passage of H.Res. 1130, a bipartisan resolution that expresses support for the sovereign decision of Finland and Sweden to join the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). Congressman Boyle is Co-Chair of the Congressional European Union Caucus. He also holds a leadership position in the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.

"I strongly support Finland and Sweden joining NATO. Their decision to join is a clear example of the world continuing to unify around Ukraine and Europe, and against Vladmir Putin as he wages a brutal and unprovoked invasion of a sovereign nation. I call upon our NATO allies to swiftly ratify the protocols of accession that will bring both Finland and Sweden into the NATO alliance."
