Congressman Boyle Announces Federal Funding for Temple University Spinal Cord Injury Research

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Brendan F. Boyle (PA-02) released the following statement announcing that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services awarded $351,806 in federal funding to Temple University for spinal cord injury research.
“Spinal cord injuries can be absolutely devastating to their survivors, often threatening their ability to live and work independently and enjoy a full life. I’m proud to see Temple University making such great progress in helping people recover from these catastrophic injuries, and I’m hopeful this funding will help that progress continue. I’m working hard to support the researchers at Temple to ensure all Americans can access the highest quality health care possible.”
The funding comes from the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke within the National Institutes of Health, which Congressman Boyle is fighting to fully fund.
