Congressman Boyle Leads Effort to Fully Fund Nationwide Study on PFAS Contamination

April 26, 2019

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Brendan F. Boyle (PA-02) led a bipartisan letter urging the Appropriations Committee to fully fund a $10 million nationwide study on the impact of PFAS contamination on Americans' health in Fiscal Year 2020. Boyle led the fight to first enact the study in the FY19 National Defense Authorization Act. Congressman Boyle released the following statement upon the submission of the letter.

"Every American has a right to safe water. It is past time the federal government delivers on this fundamental promise for the families in Pennsylvania and around the country that have been exposed to dangerous PFAS chemicals. This nationwide health impacts study is an important step toward crafting comprehensive policy solutions to ensure this never happens again, and giving impacted families the care they deserve."
