Congressman Boyle Sworn in for the 119th Congress
WASHINGTON, DC — Pennsylvania Congressman Brendan F. Boyle (PA-02) was officially sworn in today as a member of the 119th Congress, continuing his dedicated service to the people of Pennsylvania's 2nd Congressional District. In the 119th Congress, Congressman Boyle will be the longest-serving Democrat in the Pennsylvania delegation and the youngest Democrat to lead a Congressional committee.

“It’s an incredible honor to once again represent the people of Pennsylvania’s 2nd District,” said Congressman Boyle. “I take this responsibility seriously and am eager to continue fighting for the issues that matter most to the neighborhoods I represent—lowering costs, creating good-paying jobs, improving public transportation, and ensuring access to affordable health care. Philadelphia deserves strong leadership in Congress, and I’m proud to work every day on behalf of my neighbors.”
This term, Congressman Boyle will once again serve as the Ranking Member of the House Budget Committee, making him the youngest Democrat to lead a committee this Congress. In this role, he will continue working to advance fiscal policies that reflect the priorities of everyday Americans.
“As Ranking Member of the Budget Committee, I will fight for a federal budget that reflects the values of working families—not just the interests of the wealthiest one percent,” Boyle said. “Republicans are focused on giving tax breaks to billionaires while slashing programs that families rely on, like Medicare and Social Security. I’m ready to fight back. My focus is on lowering costs, strengthening communities, and ensuring our government works for everyone—not just the wealthy and well-connected.”
During the 118th Congress, Congressman Boyle delivered major legislative wins for Philadelphia and the nation, including securing over $40 million in Community Project Funding for Philadelphia neighborhoods and turning his Congressional Budget Office Data Sharing Act into law. See more here.
