WASHINGTON, DC - Today, Congressman Brendan Boyle (PA-02) and Congresswoman Jackie Walorski (IN-02) introduced the bipartisan Animal Freedom from Testing, Experimentation and Research (AFTER) Act. The bill directs all federal agencies to develop and maintain a policy allowing for the adoption or other non-laboratory placement of dogs, cats, primates, rabbits, and other regulated animals no longer needed for research in federal labs.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Rep. Brendan F. Boyle (PA-02) and Rep. Adam Kinzinger (IL-16), co-chairs of the Friends of a Free, Stable and Democratic Syria Caucus, re-introduced a resolution, H.Res.395, condemning the intentional military targeting of hospitals and medical personnel in Syria. This month, a dramatic escalation in attacks by the Assad regime in Northwestern Syria created a highly unstable situation. More than a dozen health care facilities have reportedly been attacked.

WASHINGTON - (May 22, 2019) — Today, Congressmen Brendan Boyle (D-PA), Congresswoman Bonnie Watson Coleman (D-NJ), a member of the House Appropriations Committee, and Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA) announced the inclusion of $10 million for the Delaware River Basin. The funds will support the river's continuing recovery from pollution and degradation and conserve a critical economic engine, wildlife habitat, and recreational feature for the region.

PHILADELPHIA - Congressman Brendan F. Boyle (PA-02) released the following statement in the wake of a weekend missile attack on Israel:

"This weekend, the terrorist groups Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad launched more than 600 rockets from Gaza into Israel. Tragically, innocent civilians in both Israel and Gaza have been killed. This must stop now. Innocent civilians should never be a target of such attacks. Israel, like any other country, has a right to defend itself. Hamas must stop launching attacks and hiding amongst the civilian population in Gaza."

WASHINGTON, DC – The U.S. House of Representatives passed an amendment from Congressman Brendan F. Boyle (PA-02) which recognizes climate change as a global challenge that must be addressed with a similarly global response, such as through the Paris Climate Agreement, as part of H.R. 9, the Climate Action Now Act. H.R.9 ensures the United States honors our commitments detailed in the Paris Agreement and lays the groundwork for further climate action.

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Brendan F. Boyle (PA-02) today introduced bipartisan legislation, the Protect Drinking Water from PFAS Act of 2019, H.R. 2377, to require the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to set an enforceable, nationwide primary drinking water standard for PFAS contaminants, including PFOS and PFOA which have plagued the Philadelphia region. Currently, the EPA sets voluntary advisory guidelines, and postponed a long-anticipated determination of whether to set an enforceable standard.
