Boyle voted against House Republicans' "Tax Scam 2.0" when it passed on a party-line vote, making permanent a slate of tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans that were included in the first GOP Tax Scam passed in December 2017. Like the first vote, this legislation confers almost all of its benefits to the wealthiest Americans; the wealthiest 1 percent will see an average cut of $40,000 while the average American will see just $980, according to an analysis by the Tax Policy Center.
