The Voter Empowerment Act will help ensure equal access to the ballot for every eligible voter nationwide, modernize our voter registration system to help more Americans participate, and take steps to eliminate deceptive practices and voter fraud that deter voters from casting their ballots.

Washington- Today, House Republicans released their latest 10 year budget plan which includes repealing the Affordable Care Act, cutting billions of dollars from Medicaid, and shrinking Pell Grant allowances.

Philadelphia, PA– Today, Congressman Brendan Boyle (D-PA-13) is marking the 50th anniversary of "Bloody Sunday" by remembering the heroic actions of civil rights marchers who helped change our nation. On March 7, 1965, a group of brave civil rights marchers, led by Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr., marched across the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma, Alabama, on their way to Montgomery to demand that African American citizens be finally given their constitutional right to vote.

"Enough is enough," said Congressman Boyle. "The clock is ticking and the time to act responsibly is now. Our Homeland Security Department cannot afford three more weeks of Republican uncertainty, now is not the time to kick the can down the road.
