WASHINGTON, DC - Today, Congressman Brendan F. Boyle (PA-02), U.S. Senator Bob Casey (PA) and Conressman Dwight Evans (PA-03) announced $1.8 million in federal funding from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act for the City of Philadelphia and the Philadelphia Chinatown Development Corporation from the U.S. Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Reconnecting Communities Pilot grant program, created by the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA).

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressmen Brendan F. Boyle (D-PA), Bill Keating (MA-D), and Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA) today sent a letter to U.K. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak communicating their collective grave  concern about Northern Ireland focused legislation that is set to be advanced by the British Parliament next week.
 
The pending legislation, according to the three House members, would ultimately prevent a pathway to legacy justice for the bereaved victims of the Troubles in Northern Ireland. XX members of the U.S. House co-signed the letter.

This landmark legislation takes several key steps to defend marriage equality: it enshrines the marriage equality for same sex and interracial couples guaranteed by Obergefell and Loving for the purposes of federal law, repeals the discriminatory and unconstitutional Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), and provide additional legal protections for marriage equality.
