Instead of debating hidden camera videos, Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards spent Tuesday defending her group's finances to Congress.
The highly partisan House Oversight Committee hearing, chaired by Rep. Jason Chaffetz of Utah, came as one of four committees investigating the $1.3 billion women's health care group in the aftermath of videos released by an anti-abortion group over the summer.

Congressman Brendan Boyle joined a bipartisan coalition on July 28 to introduce the Medicare Common Access Card Act (H.R. 3220), a bill that would require the Department of Health and Human Services to initiate a smart card pilot program and issue new, more secure Medicare cards to select participants.

Washington, DC- Today, Congressman Brendan Boyle (D-PA-13) joined a bi-partisan coalition to introduce H.R.3220, the Medicare Common Access Card Act. The bill would require the Department of Health and Human Services to initiate a "smart card pilot program" and issue new, more secure Medicare cards to select participants. These new cards would better protect personal information by moving it from the front of the card to a secure, encrypted microchip inserted into the card.

WASHINGTON, D.C.– Today, Congressman Brendan Boyle (D-PA-13) highlighted a new report showing that 6.4 million Americans in the 34 states with Federally Facilitated Marketplaces would lose tax credits to help pay for insurance coverage, if the Supreme Court were to rule against the Administration in the Republican, politically-motivated lawsuit of King v Burwell.

On February 15, 2015, the second year of Open Enrollment came to a close with 471,930 Pennsylvania consumers selecting a plan or being automatically reenrolled in quality, affordable coverage through the Health Insurance Marketplace. Nationwide, about 11.4 million Americans selected Marketplace plans or were automatically re-enrolled, including about 8.6 million people in the states that use the HealthCare.gov platform (such as Pennsylvania), and about 2.8 million in the State Based Marketplaces based on those states' preliminary data.
