Today, Rep. Jan Schakowsky and Blue Collar Caucus Co-Chairs Brendan Boyle and Marc Veasey introduced the Patriot Employer Act. This bill would provide a tax credit to employers that invest in American jobs, pay fair wages, encourage employment of veterans and people with disabilities, and provide their employees with robust benefit packages. It would also close a tax loophole that incentivizes corporations to send jobs overseas. After introducing the bill, the Representatives released the following statements:
