Donald Trump is no fan of American jobs moving to Mexico — and he likely has some support for that sentiment in Northeast Philadelphia.
Trump decided to boycott Oreos after Mondelēz International announced it will move product lines in Chicago to a facility in Salinas, Mexico. The company is cutting 600 jobs in Chicago.

Washington, DC- Today, Congressman Brendan Boyle (D-PA-13) marked the 22 year Anniversary of the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) by praising the accomplishments of the law. It was August 5, 1993 when the FMLA was signed into law, and since then the law has helped families across the country more than 200 million times.
Washington, DC- Today, Congressman Brendan Boyle (PA-D-13) delivered the following speech on floor of the House of Representatives about the need for long term funding for infrastructure and transportation:
Imagine departing from Philadelphia and arriving in New York City in 32 minutes, or Washington, D.C. in less than an hour. Imagine being able to speed at nearly 220 mph past the ever-worsening traffic gridlock that runs throughout the five major metropolitan cities that line the East Coast. Now imagine these opportunities spread throughout the entire Northeast Corridor (NEC), which generates 20% of the nation's GDP and supports a population of 50 million Americans packed into an area covering roughly 2% of the country.
Washington, DC- Today, Congressman Brendan Boyle (PA-D-13) demanded immediate action in the House now that the Highway Trust Fund is set to expire in only 22 days. With the looming July 31st deadline, Congressman Boyle again called for a long-term bipartisan solution that will repair America's deteriorating roads, bridges and transit systems.
Add another name to the list of those vilified on the floor of the House of Representatives: the Oreo cookie.
Representative Brendan F. Boyle of Pennsylvania, a Democrat, lambasted Mondelez, the makers of the chocolate cookie and its cream filling, on Thursday for closing a plant in his home district and laying off 300 workers.
U.S. Rep. Brendan Boyle (D. Pa.) told House members on Thursday they should "say no to Oreo" because Mondelez International Inc. has decided to close the Philadelphia plant that manufactures Oreo cookies and Ritz crackers and relocate the production to Mexico.
The Northeast plant employs 350 workers.
"Now, keep in mind this is a company, Mondelez, that is in no way in financial disarray. In fact, their revenues last year topped $50 billion," Boyle said on the House floor in Washington. "This plant that was closed is profitable, but not profitable enough."

This proposal would increase the current overtime protection threshold, guaranteeing overtime pay to most salaried workers earning less than an estimated $50,440 per year.
