WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Brendan F. Boyle (PA-02) joined the Ways and Means Committee to advance three bills to the House floor that support America's workers.

The SECURE Act, a variant of the Retirement Enhancement and Savings Act which Congressman Boyle cosponsors, would improve retirement security for Americans who work at small businesses.

The BRIDGE for Workers Act would help unemployed Americans access re-employment services.

The U.S. House of Representatives on Thursday overwhelmingly passed a resolution stating that Special Counsel Robert Mueller's forthcoming report on Russian election meddling in the 2016 U.S. presidential election should be made public.

The resolution passed the House 420-0. Four Republican lawmakers voted "present" on the measure — a way to avoid a "yes" or "no" vote. Seven lawmakers didn't cast votes. All 18 members of Pennsylvania's U.S. House delegation voted in favor of the measure, according to the House roll call.

More than 20 members of the US Congress warned that a future free trade deal between the US and UK could be delayed "indefinitely" as they called on Theresa May to ensure there is no return to a hard border in Ireland.

In a letter sent to the British prime minister on the eve of the Taoiseach's visit to Washington to mark St Patrick's Day, the bipartisan group calls on Mrs May's government "to do everything in its power" to prevent the imposition of a hard border between the Republic and North.

The House of Representatives on Friday passed a key priority of the new Democratic majority: A sweeping legislative proposal that Democrats call HR 1 that seeks to enact wide-ranging ethics reform, expand voting rights and mandate the disclosure of presidential tax returns.

The vote was 234 to 193 and the measure passed along party lines.
