WASHINGTON, DC - Congressman Brendan Boyle (D-PA) and Adam Kinzinger (R-IL), Co-Chairs of the Friends of a Free, Stable, and Democratic Syria Caucus, sent a letter calling on U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Linda Thomas-Greenfield to condemn the Assad regime's massacre of innocent Syrian civilians in the town of Daraa al-Balad. In late June, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's forces began to attack Daraa, ending the 2018 Russian orchestrated ceasefire.

Earlier this year, U.S. Senators Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) and Jeff Merkley (D-Ore.) introduced the Choose Medicare Act (S. 1180) in the U.S. Senate.

This legislation was adopted and included an amendment offered by Congressman Brendan F. Boyle (PA-02) that expresses the importance for bilateral and international efforts to promote peace in the North of Ireland by way of the International Fund for Ireland.

Boyle (PA-02) is proud to announce that his legislation, the Protect Drinking Water from PFAS Act of 2021, was included in a package of bills that successfully passed the House of Representatives today. The package, titled the PFAS Action Act of 2021 (H.R. 2467), is comprehensive legislation to regulate PFAS chemicals, clean up contamination, and protect public health. PFAS chemicals are an urgent public health threat.
