WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Brendan F. Boyle (PA-02) voted to send landmark legislation to the President's desk. The Inflation Reduction Act lowers Pennsylvania families' costs, creates nine million good-paying jobs, combats the climate crisis, and dramatically reduces the deficit.
WASHINGTON, DC - Chairwoman Rosa DeLauro announced that the House Committee on Appropriations will be accepting Community Project Funding (CPF) requests from Members. This is in addition to the standard programmatic and language-based requests. Each Member is limited to no more than 15 Community Project Funding requests across all subcommittees for Fiscal Year 2023 and there is no guarantee that all requested projects will be funded. WASHINGTON – Congressman Brendan F. Boyle secured $12.2 million through Congressionally-directed spending for Philadelphia Community Project Funding in the Fiscal Year 2022 (FY22) Omnibus appropriations bill. The bill passed the House and Senate and now heads to the President's desk to be signed into law. The projects span across Congressman Boyle's PA-02 District and will improve local transportation & infrastructure, increase financial literacy, address the growing city gun violence epidemic, and increase delivery of healthcare to underserved populations.

WASHINGTON -- U.S. Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin (D-IL), House Budget Committee Chair Rep. John Yarmuth (D-KY), and Budget Committee Vice-chair, Congressman Brendan F. Boyle (D-PA), introduced the Debt Ceiling Reform Act, legislation that would repeal the debt ceiling and give the Secretary of the Treasury the authority to issue new debt as long as the president notifies Congress that new debt is needed.
