WASHINGTON, D.C. –Today Congressman Brendan F. Boyle (PA-02) and U.S. Senator Tina Smith (MN) reintroduced bicameral legislation to expand coverage for lung cancer screenings to help detect cancer in more patients earlier and to save more lives. The legislation would require commercial health plans to cover lung cancer screenings for high risk individuals, regardless of smoking history, at no cost to the patient so long as they have a recommendation from their doctor.

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Brendan F. Boyle (PA-02), House Budget Committee Vice Chair, issued the following statement in advance of the committee's upcoming hearing (June 9) on President Biden's FY 2022 Budget:
"The failure to get U.S. inspectors on the ground in China during the early months of the COVID-19 outbreak will always hamper any investigation into the origin of COVID-19. But, that misstep should never be a barrier to our country investigating the genesis of this deadly pandemic. Any investigation, as President Biden stated, should lean heavily on solid, reliable, and evidence-based data."

We cannot allow the recent spike in attacks on the Jewish community to be met with silence. The Anti-Defamation League says it has seen a 50% increase in the number of antisemitic attacks here in the U.S. since the conflict broke out in the Middle East. I condemn these despicable attacks. We must never tolerate antisemitic violence and intimidation. Never.

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Brendan F. Currently, the EPA sets voluntary advisory guidelines. This bill passed the U.S. House of Representatives during the 116th Congress as part of a larger package of PFAS legislation.

WASHINGTON, DC - I condemn today's rocket attacks by Hamas against civilians in Israel. What is happening in Gaza and Jerusalem today is not a struggle over the freedom of worship. It is politically motivated violence intended to incite even more violence and conflict. These attacks do nothing to further any potential for peace & security in that region, and Israel, like any other sovereign country, has the absolute right to defend its citizens against these terrorist attacks.
