PHILADELPHIA, PA – A bipartisan group of members of Congress from southeastern Pennsylvania is pressing for hospitals with the greatest short-term need – including Philadelphia hospitals – to get federal funding priority during the Covid-19 outbreak.

PHILADELPHIA, PA – Congressman Brendan F. Boyle (PA-02) released the following statement in response to a recent Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) decision to close COVID-19 testing sites in Philadelphia:

"I am deeply dismayed that FEMA is ending local testing for COVID-19. Just yesterday, the White House declared Philadelphia as one of the projected "hot spots" for the virus. There is no reasonable explanation for FEMA's decision. FEMA has chosen a path of chaos, which will only make this crisis much worse. I call on FEMA to reverse its decision immediately."

PHILADELPHIA – Today, Congressman Brendan F. Boyle (PA-02) sent a letter, co-signed by 22 additional members of Congress, to Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin to urge for a civil servant to sign the stimulus checks instead of potentially delaying it to fulfill President Trump's request of having his own signature on each check. It is protocol for a civil servant from the Department of the Treasury to sign paper checks.
