Today, Congressman Brendan F. Boyle (PA-02) announced that the U.S. Department of Transportation has awarded a $2 million federal grant to the Center City District (CCD). This funding, made possible by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, will be used to complete construction bid documents by April 2025 that will enable CCD to redevelop a portion of the old Reading Railroad Viaduct in Philadelphia, expanding on the first phase of The Rail Park, which was completed in 2018.
