Today, Congressman Brendan F. Boyle (PA-02) introduced bipartisan legislation to hold a commemorative joint session of Congress at Philadelphia’s Independence Hall in honor of the semiquincentennial – or 250th anniversary – of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

Representatives Brendan F. Boyle (PA-02) and Dwight Evans (PA-03) issued the following statement after workers at the Whole Foods at 2101 Pennsylvania Avenue in Philadelphia made history by voting to form the first union in the company’s history.

“As Members of Congress who support workers’ rights to form a union if they choose, we ask and fully expect that Whole Foods Market will allow Monday’s election to proceed without interference.”

Today, Congressman Brendan F. Boyle (PA-02), U.S. Sen. John Fetterman (PA), Rep. Dwight Evans (PA-03), Rep. Mary Gay Scanlon (PA-05), and Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle L. Parker announced over $11 million in federal funding for the Philadelphia Community Charging Project Regional Partnership.

Today, Congressman Brendan F. Boyle (PA-02) announced that the U.S. Department of Transportation has awarded a $2 million federal grant to the Center City District (CCD). This funding, made possible by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, will be used to complete construction bid documents by April 2025 that will enable CCD to redevelop a portion of the old Reading Railroad Viaduct in Philadelphia, expanding on the first phase of The Rail Park, which was completed in 2018.
