"Yesterday in the House of Representatives there were 7+ hours of votes on the National Defense Authorization Act and various amendments to it. There were three votes, however, that were controversial and I wanted to state how I voted on each one and why.

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Brendan F. Boyle (PA-02) secured two amendments in the William M. (Mac) Thornberry National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) to promote democracy and democratic institutions. Both amendments were voted on the House floor today.

PHILADELPHIA, PA – Congressman Brendan F. Boyle (PA-02) introduced legislation to award a Congressional Gold Medal to Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman for his courage to testify in the impeachment inquiry of President Trump. This comes after Lt. Col. Vindman's announcement of his retirement after "a campaign of bullying, intimidation, and retaliation." The Congressional Gold Medal honors those "who have performed an achievement that has an impact on American history and culture that that is likely to be recognized as a major achievement in the recipient's field long after the achievement."
