WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Brendan F. Boyle (PA-02) re-introduced the Standardizing Testing and Accountability Before Large Elections Giving Electors Necessary Information for Unobstructed Selection (STABLE GENIUS) Act to require that all presidential candidates undergo a standardized medical examination and publicly disclose its results before the election. Boyle reintroduced his legislation this session after President Trump again referred to himself as a "stable genius".

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Brendan F. Boyle (PA-02) wrote to President Trump urging him to demand the release of 24 Ukrainian sailors held in Russia and uphold U.S. support for Ukraine's territorial integrity with Vladimir Putin. The letter comes after the White House announced President Trump plans to hold a formal meeting with Putin on the sidelines of the G20 Summit tomorrow, despite canceling.

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, the U.S. House of Representatives passed H.R.2407, a House Appropriations package including the Fiscal Year 2020 State, Foreign Operations Appropriations Act. This package includes an amendment offered by Congressman Brendan F. Boyle (PA-02) which doubles funding for the International Fund for Ireland to $1.5 million from $750,000. H.R.2407 now awaits consideration in the Senate.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Rep. Brendan F. Boyle (PA-02) and Rep. Adam Kinzinger (IL-16), co-chairs of the Friends of a Free, Stable and Democratic Syria Caucus, re-introduced a resolution, H.Res.395, condemning the intentional military targeting of hospitals and medical personnel in Syria. This month, a dramatic escalation in attacks by the Assad regime in Northwestern Syria created a highly unstable situation. More than a dozen health care facilities have reportedly been attacked.

Boyle (PA-02) and Congressman Adam Kinzinger (IL-16) led a group of 32 Members of Congress in a letter to President Trump urging immediate action to preserve the cease-fire in Northwest Syria. Over the past three weeks, the Assad regime's attacks on innocent civilians have escalated, furthering the humanitarian crisis plaguing Syria today.

PHILADELPHIA - Congressman Brendan F. Boyle (PA-02) released the following statement in the wake of a weekend missile attack on Israel:

"This weekend, the terrorist groups Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad launched more than 600 rockets from Gaza into Israel. Tragically, innocent civilians in both Israel and Gaza have been killed. This must stop now. Innocent civilians should never be a target of such attacks. Israel, like any other country, has a right to defend itself. Hamas must stop launching attacks and hiding amongst the civilian population in Gaza."
