WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Brendan F. Boyle (PA-02) today issued the following statement regarding impeachment and/or invoking the 25th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution to remove President Donald J. Trump from office:

"This week, I am co-sponsoring articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump in order to remove him from office. Last week's heinous attack on the Capitol by a mob of domestic terrorists was lead and spurred on by the president himself. It is abundantly clear that he is a danger to the American people and our democracy."

Boyle (PA-02) today introduced a House resolution that calls for a formal inquiry into the validity of the election of each member of the House claiming the November 3, 2020 General Election was fraudulent. The resolution would also bar a member of Congress from voting in the House while that fraud inquiry is conducted into their self-proclaimed "fraudulent election."

Congressman Boyle is a co-sponsor of the MORE Act, a bipartisan bill that decriminalizes marijuana at the federal level, while enabling states to set their own regulatory policies without threat of federal intervention.

Congressman Boyle's legislation would also incentivize individual states to enact similar public safety measures regarding non-lethal bullets.

Boyle (PA-02), Congressman Scott Perry (PA-10) and Congresswoman Madeleine Dean (PA-04) introduced the bipartisan Alternatives to Animals for Regulatory Fairness (AARF) Act to modernize the drug approval process. The AARF Act ensures that pharmaceutical companies are allowed to use high-tech and humane alternatives to outdated testing on dogs and other animals to fulfill Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulatory requirements.
